WASHINGTON, D.C. – The White House released today a targeted list of illegal workers who will be allowed to remain in the US. The list was conceived after a backlash from Trump supporters who raised the concern to President Trump that ICE was targeting their workers. Those business owners met with Mr. Trump to make it clear that the deportation efforts should apply to non-farming workers and other essential professions.

The list comes after much publicity that President Trump was going to he hard and swift in deporting illegal immigrants. Despite his intention to do so, he will have to claw back on his promise due to an uproar from his constituents.

President Trump explained during a press conference today that the list is ever evolving and that additional trades or industries may be added. We reached out to a local union worker in Detroit, James Warmack, who expressed his discontent with Trump’s administration plans to walk back his campaign promises: “ An illegal immigrant is an illegal immigrant! They need to be deported regardless of what they do here.”.

To differentiate the approved illegals from those that need to be deported, the Trump administration created a new status for illegal immigrants: HWI or “Half Way In”, still illegals with full taxation responsibilities but no benefits from the government. These workers are allowed to be exploited by the employers; however, they will have no path to citizenship. Examples of professions for which illegals will be allowed to stay in the US are those working in Farming, Asian Massage Parlors, Janitorial, and cooks.

The ACLU has already announced that it will sue the US government, claiming that the immigrants are living under a “taxation without representation” rule.
