NEW YORK, New York – In the spirit of Wes Craven comes a new horror film set against the backdrop of America’s most iconic tennis event. Game Set Scream follows the adventures of one woman and the misadventures of five men.

Following on the heels of the planned Game, Set, Matchmaker, a reality TV show to take place in and around the U.S. Open, the new movie will see five male hopefuls vie for the hand of the female protagonist in what one well-known film critic calls “a grimly fascinating revenge story,” also set in Flushing Meadows. The premise, according to unnamed sources, is that the men show up for a weekend together with the woman at an obscure New York location, a la The Bachelorette, and then find themselves the victim of a masked killer wielding a tennis racket augmented with a series of deadly blades.

Online betting has already taken hold, as many are guessing how many of the men survive until the end of the film.Unconfirmed reports had Neve Campbell playing the female lead and Craven’s son, Jonathan, directing.

Wes Craven directed the 1996 film Scream, which spawned a series of films of nearly the same name, and was also the creator of the well-known Nightmare on Elm Street films. The iconic director died in 2015.
