KANSAS CITY, Missouri – Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs’ Quarterback, announced today that he will play the trumpet as part of a band for his teammate Travis Kelce’s wedding. Travis recently proposed to Taylor Swift during a private ceremony at an undisclosed location. Travis Kelsey and Taylor Swift have been dating for quite some time in the public eye, and their love story now has a worldwide appeal. But Mahomes and Travis have been friends for a long time and partners in the field during many winning seasons. It is because of this friendship that Mahomes wants to play the trumpet as part of a band for their wedding.

Patrick Mahomes had the opportunity to practice his trumpet skills recently at another wedding for other unnamed friends from his Kansas City community. The perennial caught up with Mahomes after the wedding and asked him what prompted him to want to play for Travis’s wedding: “I always wanted to play a musical instrument; it is part of my game. You may not be aware of this, but I have been practicing the trumpet in and out of the football field for many years. It is almost like an obsession, my hand is constantly wanting to play the notes and write the tune.”

The date of Travis’s wedding is still unknown; however, Mahomes emphasized that he will continue to practice for the event as often as possible. He suggested watching him closely in the field.
