TEMPE, Arizona – The arrest of cosmetic specialist Dr. Aseel del Hoyos has led to a surge of panicked ER visits among residents in Tempe, Arizona, where del Hoyos had been performing budget-friendly tummy tucks out of the back of a remodeled food truck.

Despite a 4-star rating on Yelp, authorities say Aseel has no medical degree, license, or basic understanding of human anatomy. Authorities received an alert after a customer noticed his diploma on the wall was printed on copy paper but said Yale University.

“Surely Yale can afford better paper for their diplomas,” said almost-victim Charlene Watkins, who had been lured in by the promise of an affordable mommy makeover. “I knew something was fishy when he said to bring $300 in cash and my own anesthesia.”

She did not mention that del Hoyos’ mobile clinic featured a reclining massage chair, which looked strangely enough like one from a mall, and a layout of surgical tools such as pliers, scissors, and drills that appeared straight out of a toolbox.

Despite operating out of a food truck that bore faded signage reading “Finger Lick’n Good,” del Hoyos’ practice gained traction on TikTok, thanks to a series of live-streamed surgical procedures. He quickly built a loyal following with a “buy one, get one free” rewards system, offering a free plate of wings after every third procedure, and soon became known as the go-to spot for getting “Snatched and Snack’d.”

At press time, del Hoyos was still active on TikTok, this time from his jail cell, offering makeshift “jack your face up” cosmetic procedures to inmates deemed too pretty to go unprotected.
