LOS ANGELES, California – An LA-based wellness influencer recently shocked her friends by showing early signs of becoming a full-blown conspiracy theorist, despite the usual patterns.
Morning Glory Jenkins, best-known for her instructional TikTok videos about how to brew kombucha, has been a wellness influencer for just under a year. Morning Glory (real name Madison) frequently posts content about astrology and the occasional yoga video alongside her kombucha content. Lately, however, her friends have noticed a sudden deviation from the normal things she posts.
“The yoga videos are cool, but she’s starting to post weird Venn diagrams and crazy YouTube videos without sources,” said Morning Glory’s friend, who wishes to remain anonymous. “Like, I know the kombucha video to Venn diagram pipeline is strong, but it usually takes longer than a year,” she added. Morning Glory’s friend explained that it took her a while to notice, since a lot of Morning Glory’s “wellness influencer” behavior heavily overlaps with a conspiracy theorist’s behavior.
“She’s always worn crystal bracelets, so that didn’t seem weird, but she recently made a video claiming they protect her from 5G radiation, and that’s what tipped me off that something was wrong,” her friend said. The anonymous friend reported that Morning Glory has become increasingly difficult to plan outings with. “She refuses to go out to eat anywhere, and whenever I suggest meeting for a meal, she launches into a rant about seed oils,” her friend explained.
Our source said that while she is concerned about the patterns that Morning Glory is showing, she absolutely respects her friend’s choices. Despite this, our source revealed that some of Morning Glory’s decisions confuse her as well. “I totally get being concerned about radiation and unhealthy food, but she’s also been buying mystery health elixirs online from some guy named Star Slayer, which seems like an odd choice,” her friend confided.
