FREMONT, CA – Neuralink posted today on the X platform that the company will share with the world a public demo of their progress (https://x.com/neuralink/status/1929605979672334645). It has been known for some time that the company, owned by Elon Musk, has developed incredible breakthrough technologies that can change the world and bring significant relief to patients who have been permanently paralyzed. The company also announced that the presentation will include bonus content.
Neuralink’s progress and advancements have been closely guarded, with much secrecy surrounding the various innovative designs and potential trade secrets related to the technology and processes used. As a result, we connected with an employee last week and learned more about the presentation and bonus content.
It is expected that Neuralink will announce that its AI, on its own, enhanced the connection between the brain and computer to the point that the AI can create a virtual world for the patient, and the patient, while unconscious, can experience that virtual world as if it were reality. The patient can request that the AI set up any virtual environment they would like to be in. The description evoked sci-fi movie capabilities for the new system’s capabilities, clearly a significant breakthrough.
While visiting the facility, the two patients under treatment were visibly pleased and enjoying whatever session the AI had prepared for their enjoyment. Doctors indicated that they were limiting the AI virtual sessions to only 45 minutes a day due to brain exhaustion.
