KATMAI NP, Alaska—The head of the Fat Bear Association, Yogi Doesn’t Share, has announced a slew of sponsorship deals for Fat Bear Week 2026.
“We realized it’s time to capitalize on our chonky accomplishments,” says Yogi. “This event is a national phenomenon, and you know who’s not getting paid? The fat bears doing all the work. That changes now.” Yogi explains that a number of brands have lined up for bear sponsorships.
“We’ve got an ad planned for McDonald’s where the top 3 contestants root through the trash at the burger giant, only to learn the new $5 meal deals are so affordable, they can just buy one,” says Yogi. Domino’s Pizza will also use the bears in an ad to promote their new expanded delivery service.
“Bears—and human guests—can now get a pizza delivered directly to the picnic area at Katmai National Park,” says Yogi. The bear spokesperson adds that human guests are asked to use caution when eating delicious junk food around bears. “If you see a bear while eating, we recommend that you back slowly away from the pizza. Domino’s is not responsible for any accidental injuries involving hungry bears.”
Next up is an ad for Dunkin’ Donuts.
“Our nutritionists noticed the poor diet of our contestants,” says Yogi. “They pointed out that if we bears really want to get fat for hibernation, we should stop eating all this keto diet crap like meat and fish, and embrace carbs.”
Enter the Glazed Jelly Stick (540 calories) and Apple Fritter (510 calories) at Dunkin’ Donuts. The planned commercial will feature bears chowing down on these high-calorie, high-carb treats while watching The Great Alaskan Bakeoff.
Yogi adds that the final sponsorship is with Wegovy. “In the spring, the winner of Fat Bear Week will appear in an ad for the popular weight loss medication. Even fat bears like to slim down for swimsuit season.”
